Grainy. Very very grainy. That is an issue in as much as I feel that because of that grainy effect, we lose a lot of detail that I imagine must have been present in the original. I very much like this picture. Wonderful lines, and a very strong sense of grace combined with a distinctly mideaval and gothic viewpoint. Very nice picture. Truly wonderful, to the point that there is not much that I can actively critique.

*giggles* The original is pretty smooth. It's gotten a little worn from rubbing against the page above over the years (I believe I drew this around '02 or so) The real thing is only about five inches tall. Don't worry, I haven't given up on pencil realism in favor of flashy anime. I have one in the works that I pic at now and again, plans to do a couple more if work ever settles down.

*grins* Thank you so much! I consider that a HUGE compliment. It's several different pencils and weeks of obsessing. ^_^ Thank you for taking the time to look at my stuff. Mostly I've been doing anime lately because I love color, but it's the pencil peices that I'm most proud of.

Very cool! I don't think there would every be enough time to absorb it all. I was in Italy for two weeks and was just blown away. *bounces* It's so neat to see things in person that you've seen in textbooks.
