Wahoo! Three pics in a month! lol. Shampoo from Ranma1/2 (which I haven't seen *sweatdrop*) The ref pic for this was just something I found online. Watercolor pencils and copic multiliners.Related content

Picture looks great... I did read some of the comments and from someone that's seen the vast majority of the series and read all the manga, the proportions are pretty good. Shampoo, espcially later on in the series, is a bit taller and more "talented", so that works out fine. The hair is good and I like the way you drew her traditional Amazon outfit.
You mention not having seen this series... seasons 1-3 out in thin pack, 4 is coming soon, so there's a "heads up" for yah...

Really? I'm going to have to check it out. I've heard nothing but good things about it and everything Takahashi has done has been wonderful. I recently got hooked on Maison Ikkoku (sp?) Ever seen/read it?

Hello again. Sorry I haven't been around for a while, i've just been extremely busy recently. Anyways, here's your much deserved critique. 👍: 0 ⏩: 1
I love the colors in this picture. Although they are a bit rough, and not nearly as smooth as digitally colored works of art, it's the simplicity and... crudeness that really allows this picture to jump out at you.
The only problem in regards to the coloring is the background shading. This is a bone that i pick with many of my artist friends, and that's that the odds of her ever being in a situation where the natural background color is lime green is very poor. A blue or a green might have served better, although i fear that they may not have worked as well with the outfit. It just is a bit of an overwhelming shade for a background, is all.
Anatomy wise she's pretty good. Her hips are way too narrow, almost barbieesk in the sheer absurdity of the figure it makes, and her right foot appears to cure slightly to our right, her left. Her left knee is also too thin, it creates the appearence that there's no way that it could possibly hold the weight of her upper body, which, judging by the size of her chest, is considerable. Other than the fact that her hair is too... rounded and bulbous, giving no impression of motion, the head and upper body is well drawn.
So there's your critique. In the long run, despite the numerous problems that exist with this work of art, it gets the job done. I won't say it's your best, and i'm certainly not going to say that it's your worst, it's really just average.

LMAO! *HUGS* I always love your crits so much! The scanner ate the background. Usually it does that to purples, but this time it ate the yellows and greens. In the real pic the background is yellow (but nothing near as bright, I just thought yellow would go good with her way-too-purple hair and that pinks might make her skin a bit funny) that fades to sea green and blue towards the bottom and up her exposed hip. It didn't show up on the scanner at ALL. *giggles* I laughed at her round hair too. She's not my chara. She just has this bizzare nearly spherical hair that must take hours with a round brush and hair dryer in the morning to accomplish. *glomps* Thank you so much for the comment about the colors. I like that my colors have brush strokes and whatnot in them. Digital art is beautiful and perfect and nearly sterile. ^_^ *hugs* Thanks again for the anatomy crits! They always help a lot.
