Sosuke Sagara from Full Metal Panic is probably one of my favorite charas of all time. Something about his overly enthusastic personality just makes me adore him. I drew this over the summer, but keep forgetting to upload it. The reference pic is from the inside cover of the second dvd.Copic markers, multiliners, and color pencil.

Gah, guns, and weapons in general, at awkward angles have always been a huge handicap of mine. You seemed to have nailed it pretty much spot on here though.

I don't know if it was intended, but the "strokes" used in the background gives the drawing a bit if depth -- as if Sousuke just "pounced" into action. 
... Makes me want to run 'cuz I can swear he'll just shoot me.

You know, I always heard good things about Full Metal Panic, but since the only person I know who likes it is a total... well, douchebag, to put it lightly, I could never really bring myself to watch it and then admit that he has good taste on something. Seems kinda childish, I may have to bite the bullet and watch it anyways.
Well, I'm thrilled to death that you're still drawing, you're so incredibly talented, it makes me happy to think that I can find people online with this sort of talent and have a fun working relationship with them.
There are a few things about this picture, mostly involving the gun. The angle of the gun seems to be pointed at a very slight angle towards the viewer, but the way that the hands are holding it, I feel almost as though the gun should be pointed away from me, behind him. In addition, I can't find the actual opening... thing on the end of the gun from which the bullet would come, if the gun is actually pointed in this direction, which it appears to me.
In addition, the trigger finger doesn't seem to come through the actual trigger guard, so it doesn't look like his finger is on the trigger. That's explainable if he doesn't intend to be shooting right now, but the action of the scene indicates that he might be shooting at any moment, so his finger SHOULD be on the trigger.
Beyond that, it's stellar. The head is A+, as is the body, has a great sense of motion, it's universally fantastic, other than the hands and the gun. Very nice picture indeed.

*glomps* Wahoo! lol! Can you tell that I have never ever shot a real gun and only vaugely remember holding one? I totally agree with you. As far as FMP goes, it's got the same quality of animation as Chrono Chrusade, balances funny and serious without feeling contrived, and has well thought out characters. The Sosuke/Kaname relationship is one of my favorite in any series. (I'm not taking "liek omg OTP!1!" or anything. They just have great pixel chemistry.) I'm a huge fan of the manga. So if you want to preview the story with out a large investment, it's a good route to go.

Very cool. Action-y. Also your shading is incredible with markers. I can never figure out how to get the coloring done without overlapping it and making it dark.

Part of it is just that copics are incredible to work with. They lay down without streaking much easier. The other thing that you have to work fast and not let any edges get dry. I have that overlapping/dark problem a lot in backgrounds and have learned ways to hide it but not how to avoid doing it. lol! Thanks! I'm glad you like the pic.

I havent seen the anime before and was about to say you spelled Saske's name wrong XD. But overall I love how it came out and I am envious of how you draw Lol. Hope things are ok for ya.

Bad guys look out, Sousuke is on the move. This is also one of my fav. series, I've gotten my sister and her fiancee into it, and he's even bought the manga and graphic novels for it... they're in tune with the FMP side of the force.
