Note:
I was about 20 feet away from this person…..I thought that he was contemplating suicide …he was hurting badly….I stood there in the event I could help….he just sat forlornly…staring into the wide open.
Ordinarily, I wouldn’t have shot this picture…
ictures of people sitting forlornly alone is far too plenty…….then I noticed a stone right behind him….instinctively I knew that this is going to be a great composition….and I stole a few shots without him realizing.The stone was a divine gift to photography….it lends great depth and added characterization to exemplify loneliness and hopelessness.
Retrospectively, after studying it….thinking hard and long….. to make sense the unbelievable believable from the crystallization of thoughts of the abstract into words a representation of divinity in humanity.
The person after long while stood up …turn around …eyes red from crying…walk away dejectedly….HE SURVIVED.
I wish from the bottom of my heart that he is well.

It does look like the edge of the world! Like when people thought that the world was flat back in the 1600's and thought that the ocean just plummeted off of the edge of a cliff and into oblivion.

This picture is oddly specific to me. In the sense that I was discussing the ultimate method of my demise with some of my friends, and I concluded that it'd have to be atop a mountain or peak, sitting on the edge. I would be well into my old age and be resting there. Suddenly a streak flies across the sky and I just know...Then I'm ground zero in a meteor strike. There I would die with that sense of accomplishment having just scaled a mountain, and that sense of peace in the quiet.
Anywho...The picture was very striking to me.

Very noble of you to stand by and ready to help a stranger, and the poem is very good at relaying the hurt of relationships, definitely like the rock too, it reminds me of the fact that when relationships go bad, its not time to give up but like the rock you must stay together, feet on the ground and to not lose your cool.

I actually love doing that kind of stuff. Just standing on the edge. It's like your free, nothing but emptiness in front of you. (Or below your feet.) Maybe he need some air or meditation time.

So sorry that you felt sad..Trish...I felt sad too ..but a little bit of induced sadness is healthy so we will appreciate more of our own well being....sad movie always make us cry and we watch it....sad songs are the sweetest..we love it.....our souls need some reminding from time to time.......to count our blessings.
Contemporary love stories always have happy endings...eg.Far and Away....Serendipity....and most of Hugh Grant shows....by the way ...have you seen 9 months by Hugh.....rofl.
