aaaa!! meme!!! i wanna get my characters out there but i don't have too much time so i figured this meme would be a good way to do it
i'll give a quick summary of each character here:
Datura- a pureblood, bisexual SandWing female. A devoted naturalist, her life's goal is to categorize all of Pyrrhia's bird species. Amiable and cautious.
Skræling- a pureblood, homosexual IceWing female. A deserter from the Third Circle, she is a talented artist that wants to explore the world. Adventurous and determined.
Astral- a pureblood, pan-curious (??) NightWing female. Caring sibling of two and overloaded mind reader. Perceptive and sympathetic.
Audun- a pureblood, heterosexual SandWing male. Brother to Datura and a fully trained healer, he believes that judging others is none of his business. Serious and composed.
Peak- a three-quarters SkyWing, one-quarter IceWing hybrid bisexual male. Sole guardian of his young sister, he took her away from home when she was born to escape the abuse of his father. Resourceful and insecure.
Mako- a pureblood, aromantic SeaWing female (mostly). A highly intelligent scientist, she uses logic to make sense of the world around her. Inventive and observant.

Looks great! Just a quick question: Skræling's spines look a bit like a bumpier sandwing frill/crest in this picture-- is that part of her design or just this picture? Looks great either way!

i personally think that icewings can really be any light/pale color, so i decided to make her a pale green according to that headcanon!

skræling was a dragonet from the Third Circle, and had worked her way up there from the Fifth. And maybe she could have gone higher if she worked harder, but she was dispassionate. She wanted to rise higher in the ranks, but mostly hated life in the Ice Kingdom. She felt stifled and caged in the strict society. One day, it came to a head, when (this is subject to change lol) something completely innocent she did resulted in the death of a Seventh Circle dragonet. She was devastated; saw herself as a murderer and expected to be punished. But she wasn't, not really. This particular dragonet had been small and weak and lazy, and so no one cared. They just sort of said, "oh well; he was a waste of space anyway," and moved Skræling down just one spot in the ranks. shocked and horrified, she realized that she couldn't live there, not in a society that had no justice just because someone wasn't "useful". Skræling ran away when she was six, and vowed never to return. she decided to work on her artistic talent and see the world instead of rotting away back there. but people aren't very friendly towards icewings, and so about a year and a half later, she got very badly injured in the sand kingdom. disoriented and losing blood, she flew into the desert to escape her pursuers but with no destination in mind. she collapsed on the sands, and was found by datura's family near the skywing border. being a family of healers, they were able to nurse her back to health. during her recuperation, datura was the only one not currebtly working, so she kept skræling company and they became fast friends. after she healed, she realized she didn't want to leave, so in exchange for food, shelter, and money, she stayed and helped them out with things (collecting herbs, etc.).
