Do you happen to know a game called EVE Online? There's a faction called the Caldari and your design reminds me of their ships.

I pondered that for a moment and then came to a conclusion:
Similar to how a long-exposure photo produces light streams from passing headlights or star movement, I believe this is supposed to represent something similar. As if a photographer took a long-exposure of spaceships landing in the dock of the ship, further emphasizing the fact that this is a distribution ship, constantly sending ships this way and that.

It has some similarity to final fantasy's ships. The most attractive part of this art piece is the background which gives it a deep feeling of strengthness and superiority over normal sketches.
