Alright, lets say you're going on a romantic date with your spouse, girlfriend/boyfriend. Just enjoying your time, then suddenly a complete stranger comes up to you and starts invading your spouse's personal space. Your spouse feels uncomfortable and harassed. What would you do? Would you just sit there and let it happen or stand up and defend your spouse for harassment? I would just beat the crap out of the stranger if he ever touches my girl like that.

I would just like to take a moment and point out that Darkrai never attacked, he was provoked. I think if Ross hadn't been so... idk, territorial and realize that the freaking Lord of Darkness was prolly there for a good reason, this could have ended far less messier.Β

you also have to remember that if you look at page 9 and 10, Ross did what he had to do to protect his friend, he wasn't being territorial. Ross felt threaten, he just did a warning sign telling Darkrai to back off. But at page 10, Darkrai made the first strike to attack Ross, which Ross didn't want to battle him in the first place. this whole thing should have never happened if Darkrai, should have minded his own business and just left.

While I agree with what you are saying, its still an electric rat against the lord of darkness. It'd be like having a dragon show up and saying 'Buzz off, this doesn't concern you." It's a EmEffin dragon, you dont get in fights with those unless you have excalibur or something similar.

The only "Excalibur" we have against this bastard is a lucario, infernape, toxicroak and a vespiquen(not sure if spelled right) Bit right they're sleeping at the moment XD

I do 't know, from what I can tell, aside from the high tier legendaries (Arceus, Creation Trio, Rayquaza, etc.) there are multiple legendaries in this world, if there are multiple Darkrai's... well, there might be some that have come to enjoy making others suffer, probablyΒ those who never paired off with a Cresselia Β

Perhaps... however I don't get the jist from this guy. Honestly I think Darkrai is as a powerful noble and Ross a commoner. You just had a peasant spit in your face, I'd be pissed too.Β

Except Ross didn't start anything, he got defensive when he thought Darkrai was going to hurt Saria, but he didn't attack, he just discharged a little electricity around himself, Darkrai them slammed Ross across the ground with an attack that looked like Slash, choked out Saria when she struck back, and then sent them both spiraling into a nightmare. And Darkrai nightmares aren't something you can learn from, they're false dreams put there by a being that feeds on them. They make you physically sick (the little boy from Diamond and Pearl) and are a terriffying amalgam of your worst fears, for example, lets say your afraid of losing those closest to you, not only would your friends and family all abandon you or die, they'd come back as human-spider hybrid monsters because you have a slight fear of spiders. So these two... they're in for a ride.

Darkrais in general seem to avoid contact with humans, and causing nightmares is said to be a defense mechanism rather than a malicious act. I seriously hope that what we're seeing is this Darkrai just trying to teach Ross a lesson, instead of him actually killing Saria.

Yeah, but this Darkrai showed up out of nowhere and grabbed Saria without much provocation, and I can't for the life of me figure out why one would do that, then purposefully cast her friend into a NightmareΒ for trying to protect herΒ Β
