that's Matt's move set...unfortunately, his best option, Sky attack, requires time to charge...Nightslash might work, but a dark type move used against a dark type will be reduced damage....even with Matt's super luck ability
The best bet we got is that while Matt throws down with Darkrai, Elizabeth or Cresselia decide to do something (Elizabeth being a bug type or Cresselia using possibly Moonblast)

Also Matthew's first reaction makes me think of that scene in the anime when Dr. Fuji contemplates Mewtwo and comments on how they were looking to forge the most powerful pokemon, and that they had achieved it. Appropiate~!

I think this darkrai is both matthew, im really starting to have pure hatred for this darkrai. like COME ON darkrai, right after ross and saria finally tell eachother you have to come and ruin it? WHAT THE HELL DARKRAI? what's wrong with you? Well anyways, i really have enjoyed this page, nice to find something nice like this after having a bit of a shitty day today.

and yet another week of waiting is upon us...the tension is killing me
*goes to the bio folder to check*
ok, I'm going to try and make some predictions (cause that's how I cope with Cliffhangers)
- the "Rule of Cool" would dictate that Matthew should finish Darkrai off with a Night Slash (which could work well with his Super Luck ability);
- the "Logical Part of Me" says he should finish him off with Fly (Sky Attack would leave Matthew open for a hit from Darkrai);
- IF Matthew can't put Darkrai down, then"Karma" would entail that the "killing blow" should belong to Saria (she got hurt the most in this whole story [mostly in the emotional sense] and she has Leafblade)... plus, after seeing Ross get blasted like that I wouldn't be surprised at all if she would snap and just want to kill the f***er for everything he's done so far (then again that might be out of character for her... then again-again, the situation they are all in would be that one time a character is justified to act out of character) ;
- the "Other Logical Part of Me" would predict something along the way of Cresselia steping in and MoonBlasting the Darkrai to smithereens and then using Lunar Dance to revive Ross (but then the first part of that scenario would feel like kind of a big cop-out 
for the TLDR crowd, here are my 4 predictions for what is going to happen next:
1) Matthew cuts Darkrai down
2) Matthew flies Darkrai down
3) Saria Snaps and cuts that S.O.B
4) Cresselia tags in and saves the day
