Edit: Thanks for all the comments and I knew there were going to be some questions. Yes, I realise there's a change (I didn't pay much attension on chemistry/physics classes) that those plates are actually hot because Veruka's a fire pokemon. But I decided to ignore that and all the other logical solutions for the sake of humor.

Personally, I apply Fridge Logic here. Infernape is a fire type, so shouldn't she be able to heat the metal slightly to unstick the tongue? Or her natural heat prevent this from happening in the first place?
