I often see people drawing them as misunderstood enemies which is fine and all but I personally think good heroes need good villains and I like my villains as assholes.

Funny thing is, I have an image like this in my mind for my story. Except instead of the inkling girl in the background, theres Mary, an revel Octoling who is helping Jeff, an Inkling, get the zapfish back.
