EDIT: So I logged in and noticed I had 3 notes and I was like "woooow 3? That's much, oh, and 700 feedback? Can't remember that amount haha" so I went on to read the notes when suddenly IT flashed through my mind.. and when I saw the word "DD" on my screen I started shaking and I quickly went to my inbox to find TONS OF MESSAGES AND I WAS LIKE WHAT IN THE WORLD IS GOING ON IS THIS WHAT I THINK IT IS SO I CLICKED THIS DRAWING AND..

I started crying ;____; Ever since I joined dA (almost 3 years ago by now) I've been dreaming of becoming good enough to win a DD, and for a while I had my hopes on winning one pinned on this drawing.. but I gave up because it had been online for so long already XD But I guess this really proves that you should never give up.. and.. I'M SO HAPPYYY HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY OMGGGG

Kiriban drawing for ~MatoChii of her OC Melanie who's the spirit/goddes of Time!

~MatoChii captured my kiriban about.. 3 months ago ohgosh;; 33,333 was the number and she got it! This is the second time she captured my kiriban XD

As you see, this is ehh.. like.. FAR above my usuall "drawing skill"! But that's because I've been practicing some stuff and I really wanted to challenge myself I wanted to either to a mass detail, or illussions, or perhaps a dynamic pose- BUT THEN I WAS LIKE "Woah, WAIT TESS, YOU AIN'T GONNA HAVE IT EASY! YERR GONNA DRAW IT ALL!!" ///ehhh since when do I talk like some old guy? dafuuu

So I tried to draw it all |D
- Illussions/drawings going trough eachother, false perspective, things happening which actually can't
- Mass detail (I claim to be able to draw a lot of details so it was about time I'd prove it)
- A dynamic and hard pose

And.. I guess I mostly succeeded ;u; Some nitpicks I've found myself though: Head's to big (obvisously), hand is in a little hard to do position, leg actually can't be up that high, and her lower foot looks quite small (tho during sketching it wasn't 8( Derpppp)

I was planning on coloring it with coloring pencils mainly or only, but then I realised I don't have the colors I wanted xD In the end I still didn't use the colors I wanted (it became so colorfull! I wanted the bg brown/gold/waem grey too ;A; ) but I tried using coloring pencils as a layer of copic and it worked so well ~

And of course, pastel crayon. Used it way more than I wanted again xD Mainly for the sand, and for the yellow glow. Blue, brown, purple, yellow and grey in the bg are coloring pencil tho :>

Long description is getting way too long again, just want to say that ~MatoChii , I hope you like it even though I changed Melanie's design so much! Even though there are some mistakes and things that didn't end up as wanted, this is still my absolute best work so far and the best of what I can draw at the moment I hope it can dazzle you, even if it's just for a split second <3

Materials:
Coloring pencils, Copic Ciao, pastel crayons, fineliners, brown paint, white paint marker
Time: About ehh... 10-12 hours I think

How was I supposed to make grey blonde hair without that color otl;; Sorta succeeded but it sure took a lot of colors and blending gahh

Last question: Who's hand is that? o__O I dunno either! 8D
Maybe it explains the title. Melanie messing with time (just look at that hourglass pucking sand) and some god is telling her to stop, by captering her in chains..? Yeah nvmnd drew too much brain is fried chicken
