Description
Sally Acorn is released from the control programming, and drops to her knees, sobbing. The sound of it is unnatural, mechanical, which only makes her cry even louder. She can feel no tears, as Roboticization removed redundant organics and unnecessary sensory organs. She can feel, but not in any sense anyone of flesh and blood could comprehend. The best she could express with was already visible in her face."I feel so NUMB~!" she cried out, clutching at herself as if trying to keep from losing her mind.

Not really..it's the common result whenever characters lost their free will in the cartoons and comics, too...So it's actually canon that these characters can break the control under certain circumstances, either through Power Rings, or a deep-rooted connection to the person trying to get through to them...It's not permanent, unless the control system itself that's built into each Robian is damaged, removed, or otherwise disabled by an outside source. Robotnik wasn't super bright when it came to the Roboticizer.
Keep in mind that he didn't create the Roboticizer. He sabotaged a healing tank that Sir Charles had invented..so he didn't actually build it from scratch himself, simply modified certain parts of it. Robotnik is good at building bots and stealing credit..he's not so good at converting other people's tech to it's fullest extent.

I like to imagine in the timeline were Julian Kinbotor never rose to power, Sir Charles' invention basically set the singularity in motion.
