Description

To celebrate over 50,000 page views I would like to present my latest script for Apophysis and would like to thank you all for viewing my work. Tammy - Tangent101's Apophysis Multiple Movement script has been in the pipeline for a few months now and I think its just about ready to release.

It has been written for Apophysis 7x version 14 - I may re-write it for other versions if there is enough interest.

The zip file contains the following:

Tammy.asc - Tammy Apophysis 7x version 14 Script.

Tangent101 Sample Flames.flame - 10 flames to get you started.

3 brief user guides: "Using Tammy.pdf", "Creating an animated gif.pdf" and "Creating a 3D object.pdf".

The instructions for creating an animated gif is for Gimp but can easily be adapted for other applications that can produce animations in the same manner.

To create the 3D objects you will also need a copy of Fiji ImageJ (available from fiji.sc/Fiji) and a copy of MeshLab (available from meshlab.sourceforge.net/).

A few examples of this script can be seen at the following:

Animation examples: fav.me/d748whi  fav.me/d75q14f

3D examples: fav.me/d73fbeo  fav.me/d739cto

I would like to thank you all again and wish you happy rendering

** Please note the following **

Unfortunately the options display can get messed up with later versions of Apophysis and Windows 7 (may be other versions).

This is due to a change in Windows 7 text handling - I did see a fix somewhere but forgot to bookmark it.

The script will still work but looks messy and unprofessional.

I may look at re-coding to handle this but it will loose some of the smoothness.

MAN I definitely missed this one! Thanks a bunch! I assume this was the script we discussed that you were working on over a year ago right?

Nope this is just a revamp of my other scripts tbh. Shelved the new script for now, just haven't got the time to spend on it at the moment *sigh*

You must really be busy if that's the case.

Just now testing it out, and I already love the options, interface, and smooth implementation. Very good work you have done!

Thankyou for your kind comments, I tried to make it as quick and easy to use as possible and think I have achieved that.

You succeeded. The interface is easy and, at the same time, highly customizable. I just finished my very first high-resolution render, going with the eye of "HAL 9000" for this first one: jayaprime.deviantart.com/art/H…

I expect that I will be crediting you for a very long time, as once I find a script that really works well, I stick with it and explore it in depth. Much gratitude for what you've accomplished here and especially for sharing it with the rest of us.

Thanks for the link and again for the kind comments - its always nice to see what people do with my scripts.
I did release a couple of earlier scripts that handled movement and rotation but Tammy is a merger of these scripts with a few additions. The code itself is very linear, fairly easy to modify and can produce some really nice animations.

I am currently working on another script that uses the same type of interface to modify the variants and parameters of a flame but is no where near completion - its still in the planning stage at the moment. When ready I will release it to the community and may even merge it with Tammy....
