Well, here's my little contribution to the Pride Month project. (Comments and critiques are welcome!
) It proved to be quite the challenge to make, mostly because I have no idea how to draw necks and shoulders... and ears. The initial sketch took a couple hours and I colored it over the span of several days because I'm a huge procrastinator, haha. I had a lot of fun, though. By the way these girls aren't anyone in particular, just some random characters, but I kinda feel like giving them names. AnyoneΒ have any suggestions?Colored pencils on printer paper,Β + glued-on cutout hearts and stars. Refs loosely used.

I like this picture very much! The characters, which you created, are very different, but they are in perfect harmony with each other! It is such a beautiful message : - ) I like their smiles and bright eyes, the colour pallette, the designs, the coloured strands of one girl's hair and the ethnic hair-style of the other girl. You did a wonderful job!

Thanks! And I really like your name choices! I'd never heard the name Salwa before; I looked it up and apparently in means "quail, solace, consolation" in Arabic. Very cool!
