I've always wanted to do a casual Aino Minako, so here is her volleyball uniform! I modeled it after some images from the Sailor Moon SuperS manga I own.Minako = me!

It's somewhere in the back of my closet, and it may reappear in the future, but I mostly use this cosplay when I don't want to wear heels at a con. Maybe in the summer, but no promises yet.

I LOVE that you did this. If we ever planned to go to the same convention, I'd offer to get the Juuban high school uniform that Minako loans Rei when Rei goes to school with her.

XD! That would be awesome. I go some of the East Coast conventions. The next one I'm planning on is Anime Boston, followed by Otakon in the summer, so if you are going to either of those, you totally should!

"shorts" is a very generous term for those XD Although you can't tell, I'm wearing tights under those, so it didn't feel any more revealing than my Sailor Fuku. I did however get lots of stares; most of them positive. XD I believe I was walking back from getting some food at a restaurant near the con, and we passed two guys. One of them full on stared, and the other one whispered "damn!" under his breath. yay confidence boost!
And thank you! The idea came when I was re-reading some of my Sailor Moon manga that I own, and I stumbled upon her Volleyball uniform. I used to play volleyball, so I already had most of the components, and with a little elbow grease, this was a very successful closet cosplay, in my opinion

Although for you it is a little more free form. You should do the shirt-cute apron outfits that she wears all the time in the manga while at home. The hard part of course is that these images are always in black and white. Like in this manga page. The closest artbook image to this kind of outfit is this one. Of course you could always swap out for greens and pinks instead of just green. ^__^ OR you could go straight from the artbook and do this chef outfit .
Either way you should pull one together because that would be awesome. Mine was pretty much a closet cosplay, since i already owned volleyball gear and the bases of this outfit, so I just had to decal the details on. Oh! and I still have clips and things for you! I should just give in and visit the post office to send them >_>

For the beach shoot I had in mind, Haruka's outfit is simple compared to yours. Hers would be a white mens button down shirt, partially buttoned, since this is Haruka we are talking about XD, and either white linen pants or jeans. Once those are gathered, we just have to find a beach and some semi-warm weather.
So you get all the detail work! But it will be totally worth it when it's done, and will look totally awesome. Plus it can double as a may day outfit?

Really, the sooner it is done, the better. Since these are more of the individual-type pictures, the actual when is flexible. However, The sooner it is done, the sooner we can get pictures/plan for shoots. Also it means that you won't have to rush to finish it.
However, since deadlines are good to have, it would be nice to have it done by the end of January. >.>
