Chapter 10 – The Decider

(Path B)

Omochao pulled back his suit’s fists as Sonic lay on the floor battered and bruised. The impacts from Omochao had been so hard that he was unable to move as trying to do so hurt more. Delighted with the results, Omochao picked Sonic up with the suit’s left hand and gripped him tightly in his arms, which was doing the pain all over Sonic’s body no favours.

“How the mighty have fallen!” said Omochao. “After risking to leave your friends with me just to create your own little team to try and bring me down, it’s all been a complete waste of time for you and more beneficial for me. What is the planet going to think when the news gets out on how Sonic the Hedgehog let this happen and made all the wrong choices in trying to stop me? That reputation of yours will be gone!”

Sonic struggled to get words out as Omochao’s grip on him was tightening, but he made his best attempt.

“This… isn’t over… yet! I’m not... done!”

“Oh but you are, Sonic! Look at this situation. You were battered up quite a bit before getting in here and I’ve only made it worse. Your team has been outsmarted and beaten down by your former friends and my grand plan is about to begin. This is already over for you and you know what? None of this would have happened if you and everyone else didn’t treat me like such an annoyance all the time.”

“We never thought that!” Sonic struggled, “Some people just... have shorter tempers than others. We don’t hate you and we never have!”

“Yeah, shorter tempers. Maybe Amy should have thought that through before becoming my robotic slave. Oh well.”

“This has to stop now! Your frustrations have gone completely overboard Omochao! You’ve caused harm to innocent people and got involved with Eggman tech! This is not the way to vent your anger!”

“Well too bad! This has been a long time coming and I’m not changing my mind! You all had your chance and you wasted it. This is what happens when you make me feel like I’m a waste of parts!”

Omochao’s anger caused him to slam Sonic into the ground again, making the hedgehog yell in pain. Omochao repeated this action continuously until Omo-Tails spoke via the base speakers in his stand.

“I hate to interrupt you master, but the last Chaos Emerald has been inserted and Omo-Knuckles has powered them up again. We are ready to fire the Omo Conversion Cannon at your command.”

Hearing the name of the thing caused Sonic to suddenly piece things together.

“Omo Conversion Cannon… Wait, no!”

“Excellent work! Reveal the main screen to us. I want Sonic to witness my triumph!”

A thin holographic projector came out of the wall and turned on camera feeds of one of the many aerial Omamals hidden from view using camouflage technology to show a view of the cannon outside. It was aiming itself at a certain angle and stopped as it was ready in position.

“If he’s gonna do what I think he’s gonna do…!”

“Behold Sonic!” said Omochao proudly still with his grip tightly on him, “the object of my new Empire! Your gonna love what it does!”

“Stop this!” he cried, “you don’t know what you're doing! Don’t do something your gonna regret!”

“Why would I ever regret this? I’m more than happy after all the effort I went through to get this far. Oh and what’s this?” he said as a peaceful town far off the island with civilians happily walking around came on the screen. “A perfect spot to bring about the beginning of the new world!”

“Don’t do it!”

“Fire the Omo Conversion Cannon!”

“OMOCHAO!”

The power of the Chaos Emeralds charged up the cannon in a matter of seconds and it fired out a blast of silver metallic energy shooting off into the sky and falling down towards the town. Sonic struggled to break free of Omochao’s grasp again as all that was on his mind was running as fast as he could out of the base to save the townspeople. But it was no use as the pain held him back. All he could do was watch in horror as the live feed showed the blast falling down.

At the town, the civilians walking around doing their normal routines looked up to notice the ball of metallic energy heading towards them and all gasped with fright.

“What is that thing?!” said a monkey to his sheep friend.

“It’s coming this way! Run for it!” cried a father racoon as everyone turned back and fled for their lives. But the energy was too fast for anybody to escape from as it crashed down onto the ground and started to spread itself everywhere. The ground was becoming metallic, the buildings were, the plants and flowers were and even the people got caught in the energy. They screamed out loud as the energy that infected them began to transform their entire bodies within a matter of seconds. Their body colours became a mix of blue, yellow, orange and red propellers grew out of their heads, their eyes lit up like light bulbs with a shade of lifeless yellow and big smiles the same as the Omobots had on their faces. Every single living organism in the town had been fully robotisized into Omobots as they began to walk around like soldiers.

“All hail Master Omochao,” they chanted in unison.

At the base, Sonic was speechless as he had been made to watch the entire thing. Omochao was watching the screen with sheer awe as his plan had finally been realised.

“All of them… They’ll all been converted…”

“Confirmed hit Master Omochao!” said Tails happily. “We did it!”

“It’s beautiful…” said Omochao amazed at the results. “My world has already come to life!”

“What have you done?!” cried Sonic angrily trying his best to resist Omochao’s grip.

“Welcome to Omo-Day Sonic. The new world that now belongs to me! Ahahahaha… ahahahahaha… AAAAA,HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!”

“This can’t be…!” replied Sonic with a look of defeat on his face.


“You see the beauty on the screen Sonic?! This is what my plan has been all along! My Omo Conversion Cannon is a success and that was only a one-shot blast! This thing can fire lasers too that will not only spread across the island but the entire world as well! Not even Dr Eggman could hope to match me now! I’m the world’s new ruler! I will convert every living being and any form of natural life into my vision! This world is MINE! ALL MINE!”


Sonic’s anger and regret were building up faster than it ever had before. Not only had he lost his friends to Omochao, but now a piece of the island and innocent people in the process with more to come. The pain Sonic felt on his body was now nothing compared to the pain in his soul.

“OMOCHAO!” he yelled as he struggled once more to break free no matter how much pain he felt.

“Aww, poor little hedgehog!” said Omochao mocking him, “are you upset with me? I didn’t catch on before. Why don’t you scream more so you really mean it?”

“AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!”

Sonic had finally had enough. He pushed with all the might he had left and was beginning to finally loosen the grip by a little. Omochao was surprised Sonic had managed to resist this much but continued to taunt him.

“Don’t bother Sonic! You are a shell of a hero and have already lost this fight. What can you possibly do now?!”

“I’m not giving up…! No matter… how bleak the world gets because of my failure… I won’t stop fighting… or running until I fix this world! And someone like you isn’t gonna slow me down! Not now, not ever!!!”

“Weak speech. Just hurry up and pass out so I can make you my slave.”

“AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!”

Sonic continued pushing no matter the pain, no matter the few bones that were beginning to almost brake in his body. He had been pushed to the limit and Omochao was beginning to worry a little as he was struggling to keep his grasp.

“Hold still you stupid hedgehog! Don’t make me press the big green A button to exterminate you!”

With that, Sonic let out one final push and at long last, he had broken free. Omochao's suit was pushed back a little and almost lost balance as he tried to correct himself.

“No! But how?!”

“EAT THIS!” cried Sonic as he homing attacked the base of the suit with a fierce strike that pushed Omochao back and knocked him down to the ground.

“How dare you!” he replied angrily beginning to really panic now. “I will not stand for this!!!”

He fired some missiles at Sonic to give him the time to get the suit on its feet. Sonic avoided the missiles and followed it up with a spin dash straight towards his booters, managing to damage them in the process.

“How dare you!” Omochao cried angrily. “My only means of flight and speed and you broke it somehow! I’ll teach you to make of fool of me!!!”

Omochao charged towards Sonic, who began to boost himself straight towards the robot's suit. Omochao then used the suit’s hands to shield himself and try and push Sonic back and follow it up with a punch. The two were locked in a struggle as they pushed their hardest to gain the upper hand.

“Just give up and die already!” cried Omochao who has gone into a full panic. He wasn’t even thinking about robotisizing him now with his current state of mind.


“Not while you’re still the way you are! I’ll stop you even if I have to destroy you in the process!”

“Go ahead and try! You’ll never get to me!”

Sonic ran faster and faster as Omochao’s words reached his ears. The pain was getting worse as Sonic felt like he could pass out at any moment, but he pressed on with the thoughts of his friends keeping him going. Sonic took victory in the struggle as he pushed Omochao back so far that he was now right on the edge of the platform losing balance.

“No! No, I’m not going down like this!” he shouted as he panicked so much that he couldn’t use the suit’s controls properly to readjust himself.

Sonic jumped into the air and began to start spinning with a lock on Omochao’s suit directly where the robot himself was in view.

“Look out Master Omochao!” called Tails worryingly.

“This is for all my friends you took from me and for the town you’ve destroyed! It’s over Omochao!”

“NO!!!”

“AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!”

Sonic charged down aiming to strike Omochao dead on the windows protecting him inside, but an unexpected figure came to stop him. The figure fired blue energy spears directly at Sonic, knocking him back down to the ground just in time for Omochao to get his balance back.

“My newest servant?! You came just in the nick of time!” said Omochao with relief.

Sonic badly injured from the attack opened his eyes and gasped to see that the one who stopped him was none other than Shadow. The black hedgehog has been fully roboticized sporting darker Omochao colours but the same yellow lifeless eyes and smile as everyone else. Sonic couldn’t believe that Shadow of all people got captured and now enslaved.

“Omochao… You monster…!” he said coughing from trying to speak.

“Even the mighty Shadow couldn’t stop me!” replied Omochao in applause. “What will you do now Sonic?! You have no allies left to stop me with and you're battered and broken! There’s no escape for you now!”

“I’m… not... gonna… stop!” replied Sonic struggling to move. “Because I’m… just that stubborn!”

“Which will do you no good. Omo-Shadow! Finish him off!”

“Affirmative Master Omochao,” replied Shadow with a metallic filter to his voice. He aimed his hand towards Sonic ready to attack whilst Omochao watched with utter joy from inside his mech suit.

“Shadow… Don’t…”

“Your time is up Sonic the Hedgehog. “Omo Spear!”

A huge number of the same blue energy spears from earlier surrounded Sonic and began to fire directly on him. Sonic yelled in pain as explosion after explosion from each spear hit him directly with new ones forming every second. Whilst Omochao was enjoying his victory, he realised he shouldn’t go too overboard much to his disappointment.

“That’s enough Omo-Shadow! Call off the attack!”

“As you command,” he replied putting his arm down.

The remaining spears vanished into thin air and Sonic was no longer yelling. He wasn’t even awake anymore as the pain from all the fighting earlier up until now had finally made him pass out. Omochao walked up to him and picked him up with the suit’s right hand.

“Scans say he isn’t dead. I need him alive for his final fate, so good on you Omo-Shadow for finally ending this battle.”

“Victory is finally yours master,” replied Shadow as all remaining Omobots flew into the room to meet up with their boss.

“You finally defeated Sonic the Hedgehog!” cheered Oma-Amy raising her arms up. “I knew you would!”

“You beat him up good,” followed Oma-Rouge, “I’m so proud!”

“Yeah, take that Sonic!” said Omo-Knuckles raising his fist up. “You should never have messed with the new ruler of the world!”

“He picked a fight with one he couldn’t defeat,” said Omo-Espio crossing his arms. “The weak should never risk their lives on those they don’t stand any chance against.”

“The pain you gave him would make him wish he was hit by my stingers!” said Omo-Charmy flying around in circles.

“You’ve finally done what Eggman couldn’t do Master!” Omo-Vector followed. “You’ve proven that you can outsmart someone of an IQ of three hundred in just over a week!”

“Oh stop it everyone, your too kind!” replied Omochao feeling flattered. “This victory was completely expected! By the way, what are the statuses on Eggman and Metal Sonic?”

“I smashed Metal Sonic to pieces!” Amy answered getting out her Omo Hammer and swinging it around. “But Eggman has disappeared somehow and is no longer traceable on the entire island. He must have known he had lost so he ran away like a coward.”

“Fair enough. Eggman would dare try to oppose me again now that my cannon was a success and I’ve finally defeated Sonic with all of your help. Maybe I’ll fire it on him next time he shows his face!”

“There was also a jet carrying E-123 Omega heading towards the island,” said Omo-Tails. "But I fired some long-range missiles from the base and shot his jet down. It plummeted into the sea.”

“Excellent! What about Omega?”

“No traces of him were left. He’s gone down with the jet.”

“Well, that takes care of all our problems! Good work Omo-Tails!”

“So what shall we do now master? The world is finally yours to conquer!”

“First order of business,” he replied turning to face Sonic, “we have this one join the cause!”

Soon enough, Omochao and company arrived at the roboticizer room and quickly placed Sonic inside one of the many roboticizers inside. The Omobots couldn’t wait for Sonic to become one of them as they were getting giddy with excitement.

“This is it everyone!” said Omochao getting everyone hyped up. “Sonic the Hedgehog shall now be Omo-Sonic!”

“Horray!” the Omobots cheered at Omochao pressed the big A button to begin the roboticization process. Green lights filled the room as Sonic’s flesh and blood was being converted into metal. Omochao watched the process on the nearby computer as a green bar was filling up the scan of Sonic’s body.

“Goodbye Sonic the Hedgehog,” he said to himself proudly. “It’s been fun, but times have changed and the world needs a new kind of Sonic. One that will forever obey me and carry out my global takeover!”

The roboticization was now complete and the light faded away. The tube opened up and there stood Sonic now fully robotisized looking towards his new master as his yellow eyes lit up. Gone was his red and white coloured shoes, replaced by yellow and orange metal feet shaped like his shoes. His hands coloured yellow and circular, his dark blue skin replaced by light blue metal and his spikes were now razor sharp. He stepped off the roboticizer and walked up to Omochao with the other Omobots looking at him in awe.

“Model 009, Omo-Sonic reporting for duty Master Omochao!” he said saluting him in a tone that didn’t sound like the old Sonic at all.

“I’ve done it!” cheered Omochao flying around the room,” I FINALLY DID IT! Sonic is mine to control and join my conquest of the planet! I’ve roboticized every single one of this planet’s defenders and made Eggman look like a joke! I’m the master of the world! Me! I’m this planet’s rightful owner! The mighty, OOOOMOCHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAOOOO!”

Whilst Omochao continued to praise himself, the Omobots introduced themselves to Omo-Sonic who was proud to be working along such friendly robots as himself.

“The master has been waiting for you for a long time,” said Oma-Amy getting close to him. “So have I especially.”

“Can’t wait for you to join us in starting the new world,” said Oma-Rouge. “It should be enjoyable!”

“There are no worries left in the world once you’re an Omobot like us here,” said Knuckles giving him a pat on the back. “Serving the master is all you need in life.”

“I’m honoured to have you fight alongside us,” said Omo-Espio shaking Sonic’s hand. “I look forward to our missions together.”

“It’s gonna be a blast!” said Omo-Charmy buzzing around him. “You’ll get some super cool weapons to show this planet what you're made of!”

“With you around our team is gonna be unstoppable!” said Omo-Vector. “It’s been a long time coming!”

“Welcome to the team,” said Omo-Shadow. “Carry our your orders and you’ll be fine.”

“It’s gonna be totally awesome conquering the world!” replied Omo-Sonic. “Nothing will stand in the way of the Omo’s!”

“Yeah!” Everyone replied with a cheer.

“Alright then fellow Omobots,” said Omochao who was finally done with his victory cheer, “it’s finally time to begin your first order of business.”

“What shall we do master?” asked all the Omobots.

“Go out and have fun whilst I fire up the Omo Conversion Cannon on Angel Island. It will be perfect as a metallic paradise!”

“As you command Master Omochao!” they all replied as their propellers began to spin and their jet boosters carried them up. They flew out of the base to carry out their orders whilst Omochao returned to HQ. He sat down in his chair feeling triumphant as he watched the second screen to see where his Omobots would be flying off to.

“I worked so hard for this,” he said to himself looking back on the day this all began. “Finally my revenge is complete and this boring world can finally change to my liking. It goes to show that being evil can make you feel so alive. I couldn’t be happier this way. That lightning bolt was not an accident, but a gift to bring me where I am today. Thank you random lightning bolt! You struck my make-believe heart and now I’m the happiest robot alive…”

He began setting the coordinates of the Omo Conversion Cannon towards Angel Island still floating on top of the ocean and powered it up with the Chaos Emeralds.

“The Omo Age has begun…”

And so a long time passed. The world was being converted into a metallic nightmare for any living creatures who had been watching the events take place on the news. They weren’t able to enjoy their peace for long as Omochao’s cannon had already made work of them, their homes and their families. Planets, trees and everything else in-between would be replaced by wires and other types of machinery to keep factories and other buildings running. Robotisized civilians would be programmed into doing the same routines every single day all to keep the new world working in order for Omochao’s Empire. The media would change drastically to produce content and sell merchandise all centred on Omochao and even the form of currency changed with his face plastered on every coin and note. Sonic and the Omobots were seen as the world soldiers who were treated by the robotisized civilians as heroes of the planet. Omochao’s world was growing each and every day and there was still more work to do.

There are still questions however that to this very day still remain unanswered. The whereabouts of Dr Eggman were still unknown and the world had not heard from him since. Wither he was still alive or not, nobody knew.

The same could be said for Cream, Cheese and Vanilla who had all been missing for a very long time. Their house had been abandoned with the door still wide open before it was converted into metal. Nobody has seen any whereabouts of them either.

The Omo Age was here and it was forever here to stay.
