im-diogenes said it's like looking in on playschool. agreed. when you're little, everthing is a distortion. you don't yet know what the correct way is. every year feels like five years ("what? another year till christmas comes again? i may be dead by then!"), every countertop is infinitely high, and the connection between the light switch and the light is still completely tentative. everything stretched because you're so small it seems that way. this photo could be like... looking through a tunnel to see what we've lost. we shrug off childhood smallness and uncertainty as soon as we can, or we pretend to, and then we get high so we can find it again.
(is it obvious that i'm infinitely jealous of my five-year-old self? heh..)

i feel like i'm looking through the round window on playschool again. everything is childlike - the shapes in the clouds, the proportionless shadows, the distorted colours and balance. wonderful.

This is so surreal and fun. The yellows remind me of old 70's yellowed photographs that you find in your mom's albums, and you always wonder what everyone's stories are, and nobody remembers who they are anymore, or who they were related to, and I always feel this sense of loss, like someone really neat might have been in there, but now we'll never know.
