Oh look!Β An animation/Balto fan who actually draws a character LIKE the character, and not some bizarre melding of human/animal ("furry"), or in some anime/MLP/Pokemon, yiff, yaoi, hentai, etc. form.Β Shocking.

But every time someone sees me say that, then they're all whispering and sniggering in the dark corners and the "shoutbox" of a certain fan site devoted to, among other things, Balto and the Lion King.Β Because they're a handful of socially-inept little shits whose only actual "power" and "popularity" comes from hanging around that sad and deteriorating little place.Β lol
It's quite amusing...especially inasmuch as they seem to devote so much venting of spleen over what I say on other sites that has absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with any of them in particular.

That bothers me as well. I think we're all entitled to opinions, right? Whether someone likes it or doesn't is their problem. Not ours. That's just the way I see it anyway.

We ARE all entitled to our opinions.Β But you know how the fan community, especially, can be.Β And the portion of the fan community that populates this community, as well as over on Animation Source (which is a source of a great deal of stress, trolling, baiting, duplicity, and "frenemy" behavior), only makes that worse.Β People seem to think that, "unless you have nothing nice to say, you shouldn't say anything at all".Β Which basically spits in the face of any opinion which isn't entirely sopping over with empty praise.Β And when an artist is still in his or her developing stage, it does far less good for them to hear praise for mediocre or bad art...(or art which may be better served by posting it on groups or sites which cater to that...such as anthros, anime and MLP stuff when it DOESN'T apply to certain cartoon series or movies.Β I get that people like making that art.Β I really do.Β But it doesn't belong everywhere, nor should it be bogging down or over-stuffing the galleries of sites meant purely for fan art in relation to the series or movies they represent)...than it does for them to receive an honest and direct appraisal of their work.Β Even if they might not have the emotional stability or maturity to handle it.Β If they CAN'T, then they have no business posting the damned stuff on the internet, where it is GOING to be commented upon regardless of what sort of comments and appraisals they MIGHT be fishing for.
