2009 - 2010
I remember the first time I walked into my middle school. I was 12 and had recently moved to my current home. I was very shy and I didn't think very highly of myself. Especially cause at the time... well let's just say do to a haircut mishap I gained the ridiculing nickname "Joe Dirt". ( please don't make fun of me for that I've gone through enough hell as it is.) When I first went to that school, I met quite a few people, the first of which was my friend Yukia*.(Name changed for security reasons) She had the locker right next to mine, and we talked during passing period. Another girl I knew, whose name I cannot remember, was the friend I saw most often at the time. One day I was out in the feild at lunch, and some girl walks up to me and says, "She doesn't want to be friends with you anymore." I asked her why. The answer: "'Cause you're... different." I was broken. sullenly I told Yukia about what had happened. The next day when lunch started Yukia brought me to her usual table and introduced me to my now good friend Night*. (Name changed for security reasons) I had a book with me, it was book 5 of the first Warriors series. I timidly asked Night if she liked the series, and she looked at me with the biggest smile and said "I LOVE it!" I sat down with her and Yukia, and we conversed all the way until the end of lunch, and even after that down the hallway. We soon became close friends, all three of us, and helped each other through the toughest times of middle school.
2010-Current
So after three months high school came around. This is when we met our now good friend Lucy* (Name changed...you know why) She is an interesting, fun, energetic soul with a gold heart... and hair. :3 She soon claimed me as her "Mommy" due to my motherly-caring attitude towards my friends. We soon began to call eachother "Musume" and "Okaa-san". Lucy was and has been there for me in my times of need, just as Night and Yukia. When anyone gets in a quarrel Lucy has always been able to step in with a level-headed, calm demeanor and always a good solution. Unfortunately she will be moving soon, and we will all miss her dearly. But the four of us, no matter what, have been through high and low, thick and thin, and have become possibly closer than even blood. I used to be an introvert and incredibly self conscious. I was soft-spoken and timid. Now, thanks to them, I am confident, open-minded, and happy. Thanks to them I have accepted who I am, and love them all the more. It's true. Friendship really is magic.
