Nice, but...
No falling shadow from the object, no highlights and reflections on the metal and glass. Replace the metal texture and add a normal metal material.

Very cool, I love how you've rendered it, looks very smooth.
Also, the texture on the metal parts of the capsule makes it look real.

Thank you. The spiral is a circular curve with each of it's anchor points an equal distance from the previous point in the circle. That gave me one loop of the spiral and then i used an array to lengthen it appropriately. I then copied that and rotated it 180 degrees on the z-axis to get the twin spiral effect. I hope this was clear enough.

The texture seam can be seen on the two metal caps... other than that, good scene!
