I can't say I'm much of a fan of ties, so personally I think this is a better use for them than wearing them

i've got tons... and im a girl. lol. i use them as belts and accents. it would be a shame to cut them up...

I like the idea of a collage, especially a collage of ties of varying fabrics and patterns. The girl inside looks like she's obsessed with said ties to the point in which she's gone insane. Good work!

This is a great idea, its digital right? i took part in a salon exhibition last year and one of the first pieces to sell was a great picture made from different colour pieces of fabric sewn together and streched around a canvas strecher. it made a great piece... this would be so much better than that if it was real! since this is virtual it might not be too much trouble for you to change the pattern behind the figure so that the ties more or less go straight up and down... it would make a better contrast to the wonderful movement in ties covering the face. really great job though!

yup! i just scanned the ties that i had. it would be such a waste to cut them all up. i even use some as belts. they're wonderful pieces and they're so tactile.
