the medicine bottle is really fitting for this... because medicine for such things like depression aren't actually cures. they're just ways to cope... to make it a little better... which is exactly the reason people like us cut ourselves. it's our medicine.

i definitely feel this image. it was my 'medication' for a couple of years also. it was actually my only way of getting any emotional release. it was almost like my way of crying for a while. boys dont cry...i have a few sketches posted in my gallery if you'd like to see them.

prescription cutting? interesting concept, but it is true that I somehow always feel better after a nice deep cut. thus leading into the love hate problem. I love the feeling, I love the release, and I love the blood but I hate the results after the initial cut. And I'm afraid the addiction I have received is much worse. Tho its a great picture.

i put all of my razors in a box and gave them to a person i met in nexus for self harm, it was a big thing.
..how i loved my razors, how i hated my razors...true.

I remember giving a box of razors to a friend of mine to hold. The idea was to put them out of immediate reach, but still know that I could have them back if I needed them. It was a big thing for me too. And in the end it didn't solve the problem (because really the problem isn't cutting, it's the things that make a person cut), but it was a step in the right direction.
