Description
Name: CheetahDate: November 23rd, 2013
Location: Washington, DC
Conservation Status: Decreasing/Vulnerable
Did you know?It took 4,000,000 years for the cheetah to become the unique 'big' cat that it is today;
It's taken less than 100 for mankind to place it on the endangered species list.
I'm so freaking stoked about uploading this piece. If you follow me on NatGeo, Facebook, Flickr, or 500px,
you've already seen Justin's mug. Poor guy was pacing his enclosure a good majority of the time while his
sister, Carmelita, lounged around. In this photo, he perked up as the ninjababy squealed and ran around.
I think he was liking the idea of fresh babyback ribs.

I won't lie, the cheetahs are the main reason why I go to the zoo.

I want me some peace and a place to be still.
I want me some place to be, to run, and watch.
I don't like this place."

Now that's a great shot. How did get this great shot without including the chainmesh fence?

Thanks! There isn't one. The enclosure is separated by a steep moat and the viewers are elevated above it.

I am in love with this. The eyes are mesmerizing, and I love the way the background interacts with the spots of the cheetah.
