Some expressions I did for Luca, a character from my comic book project "Omertà: The Code of Silence".I'm still working on his design.

I think this is the first time I've seen traditional cartoon art of a snake done so well. Your expressions and form to him give a more realistic and appropriate look. I can't wait till your comic is made *vvv*

I can't remember the last time I was this excited to see something in my notifications. I love snakes so seeing Luca again is great!
The expressions are great as usual. I especially love the headturn drawings.
However I must admit that I would prefer his design in the mafia line up. Mostly because of his snout. It was more clearly snake-like. For some reason his snout makes me think more of a python than cobra. But that's just me.
Another thing I'd change is the eye color. As it is here his eyes seem to blend in with his skin colors which takes away a small bit of the power of his expressions.
But still I love these and I am looking forward for more characters and their expression sheets.

WHAT THE CRAP, I just started working on a detailed picture (long overdue art trade) about a cobra anthro lady yesterday, and here you are with a picture about your cobra man. STOP THAT TELEPATHY, SISTER.
Not gonna lie, I gasped seeing more Luca art in my inbox. c: Luca, Gaspard and Dante are my top favorite mafia members.
I really like that picture of him where he says "One man's trash is another's treasure." The lineart and everything feels most snake-like compared to the other pics.
In the one where he says "You think you know the secretsss of this businesss?" he looks like a turtle.
Snakes are super tough to turn into anthros! I had (and still have) to study cobras when I started working on my picture. I also googled skeletons and found out cobras actually spread their rib-like bones when they make the hood thing. Not sure if this helps *artistically* but I thought it's still interesting to know there's bones inside both sides of the open hood.
Also, I'm actually drawing detailed scales on my cobra pic. Maybe it's a thing you could use for Luca to stress his snake essence too? For example, draw few more extra scales where the hood is? Or make scales for the neck and belly parts, the bottom half of the snake? Like you do for your crocodile characters . c: Thinking it can define the reptile species more.
*gasp* OR! Make that special marking on the backside of his hood?
