Girl, this is CRAZY AWESOME!!! I just adore what you did with the colors here. It has this dreamy kind of look to it. The pinks are just phenomenal! I adore her hair! That little bit of shine at the bangs is just genius! And bravo on the netting around the bottom of her skirt too! That pose is so cute. Love the legs with the way that knee turns in! Just gorgeous!

I really had fun drawing her! LOL i loved how you called me brave XD....but honestly sometimes I think I rush on that kind of stuff and i could do better! I do love how the hair came out ...and as far as the pose goes ...that's just the way she normally poses on all the ads ...see XD [link]

You're most welcome hon! I don't think anything about this piece looks rushed, so if you did rush it's really hard to tell. I know how you feel though. There are parts of all my artwork that I rush, and I'm always so tempted to rush backgrounds. I think you did an amazing job on the pose anyway, even if you did use a reference. I use refs all the time in my drawings.

I think all artists are harder on themselves than they should be, myself included. Anytime I draw something I'm always picking it apart. But really, you do an amazing job Nitasha! You should always be proud of what you do!
I'd be quite lost without references. I wish I could draw more from imagination but that takes more practice than I've had.

very true! ...i do it all the time! ....and thanks for the support! you know truthfully ...i kinda hate using references but they definitely do come in handy sometimes.....lately i feel that i need to get back to drawing from the imagination....but on the other hand ....i really like doing Fan art!

What's wrong with fanart? I don't think there is anything wrong with a healthy mix of fanart and original art. You've got to allow yourself to draw what you love or else, what's the point? Don't limit yourself to one thing or the other, just draw what you're inspired to draw at the moment. Know what I mean? I know what you mean about the reference thing. That's one reason I'm doing my challenge. I'd love to be able to draw from imagination but as it is right now, I really can't do it. I don't have enough knowledge of human figures to do it. Maybe I've done it a couple of times, but those were apparently flukes b/c I haven't been able to do it since.

Oh Gosh NO, you didn't offend me at all!! I don't think you're even capable of that, hon. No, I was just giving you a bit of a pep talk is all. I haven't drawn fanart in quite awhile so most of my new stuff is original anyway. No, no, all I was saying is that if you're in the mood for fanart, you should draw fanart. If you're in the mood for original stuff, do that. Drawing what you want to draw will help to keep you motivated. That's all!

I hope you do get your book finished. How wonderful that would be! You'll have to keep me updated on how you're doing with it! I know you're not posting any of it here, which is probably a wise thing to do but I'm excited to hear how it's going nonetheless. I've always kind of wanted to write a children's book myself. I've had a few ideas but getting a book published is the hardest thing to do! Anyway, good luck with yours! I know it's going to by dynamite!

i had to take a quick break from my book....work has been soooo busy since my new set of kids started ..i'm hoping it will die down soon. but i will keep you posted when i do more! ...yeaaaa ..i'm dreading the publishing part of it!

13 boys, are you kidding me?!!! I hate to say it, but I do not envy you that! My kiddo is in a class with all boys and he's already picking up some of their behavior. Just the other day he said "buggerbutt"! I guess it's the choice phrase of one of the kids in his class. I guess it could be worse, but we don't let him say "butt" and he knows it. *sigh* I can see why you're super stressed with 13 of those little monsters running around. I think your friendship with the couch is a well deserved one!
