Description
My take on a scene from Cyber Peacock's stage from Mega Man X4. I always thought it was a very cool looking stage and decided to do my own take on it. Nothing fancy, just some weird spacy crap.Mega Man X4 © Capcom

Great! I really like the colors, and the transparency is nice too. Also, the hexagons are really cool!
May I please use this? I'll credit you, no doubt.

I suppose. I don't even consider it a finished piece, though.

I read it. It's a lot harder than it appears to be. Thanks for the info.

It's been a while since I've used 3DS Max so I'll try to remember as best as I can...
The platforms that X walks on are just hexagons with beveled edges, transparency and refraction.
The towers in the background are hexagons that have been extruded considerably more with a very quick texture wrapped around them.
The grid is a prefab 2D object set to display when rendered, while the ring around it is a very wide, very short double-sided cylinder with the end caps turned off - same for the rings on the right side, with the glowing spot being a flat plane with a transparent texture.
And the background is a pair of noise maps mixed together - one configured to look like stars, and the other giving the blue nebula effect.
And that's about all I can remember.

Cool! It's like you have remastered the stage Layout for real! Awesome job is all that I can say! I always loved The Cyberspace Layout that Cyber Peacock used to lurk in!
