Description I recalled a WW1 story of a British Major in a scouting assignment was left for dead by his team behind enemy lines. His face was badly shot up,infact his comrades tried to patch him up,bandaging his entire face.
But he ordered them to leave,if not the boche or huns will definetly kill them all.
Losing conciousness due to his wounds,he awoke to a thundering rainstorm. It was as if the heavy rain revitalised him. Feeling stronger he decided to make his way back to his own lines.
Grabbing what weapons he could on the battlefield;a Colt 45 calibre pistol and his own field pistol; a webley 45 revolver.
Mud-caked and his head looking like a Egyptian mummy,he cut a swath across the battlefield killing any Huns that came his way.
Due to his bizarre and horiffic look he actually frightened the boche so much they actually thought he was a ghost from tne western front.
Cool story.
