EDIT: **Please full view, preview is crap** For those who watch me, I'm sorry if this shows up in your inboxes a second time. @_@ Just ignore it; the picture hasn't changed.Tanabata is a Japanese summer festival celebrating the reunion of two celestial lovers, the stars Vega and Altair. People celebrating it write wishes on tanzaku (small pieces of paper) and hang the paper on bamboo, so that the gods may grant them whatever they wished for. The Japanese writing on the tanzaku in the picture is "Sekai ga Heiwa ni naru" and roughly means "May there be world peace."
Broke in my new sketchbook and this was the result.
I know it's not the finished version of Snow Owl I promised, but that one will come eventually. I know there are still a lot of flaws. It doesn't really look how I wanted it to, but I'm not going to fix anything. ^_^Sorry for the terrible scan. My photo scanner apparently hates me.

The riches blues of teh background are enchanting. the writing is a nice touch and the yuong girl in a lovely red kimono has a wonderful expression.

This is remarkably done. And the long time you say it took definitally seems like it, a lot of good effort was put into this. A must fav to boot too. Keep up the great work. ^-~
