Now that I think about it though, as a surprise Kaiju they could have had Godzilla swim at them just as something else showed up and was about to attack their craft and G Man kills it. Like one of Ghidorah's lackies or something.

My assumption, is that since the Titans can communicate vast distances through bio-acoustics, perhaps Godzilla's display was sending out a threatening sound that could reach the Antarctic. We get the visuals, Ghidorah gets the sound. Could be wrong, but that's how it felt.

Yeah, Godzilla could also be sending out a sound version of the threat display or something. but you do have to go through some mental gymnastics to make that work when the scene couldβve been as simple as.

i love the idea of ghidorah just standing on top of the base and popping in to say hello to the humans. makes it look like the left head is in control.
my idea for why godzilla was glowing at that point in time is similar to Panciraptor's.
it was a intimidation display and a sign of agitation. since he knew something bad was happening but maybe he didn't know exactly what it was. so maybe when he stopped glowing for a second it was because MONARCH showed they weren't the threat and when he started glowing again and moving faster then normal was because he figured out that Ghidorah was going to wake up soon.
another idea is that he did know that Ghidorah was waking up and he was pissed thats why he was destroying the buoys(i think thats what they were i don't remember) and circling the base maybe he was glowing constantly and only started to calm down once MONARCH stood down and thats why he was flashing.

Yep, the middle one is all serious and murderous, the left head I think seems to be a bit on the goofy side and the middle head seems to get annoyed at it a few times and the right head I believe seems to be kind of "Meh".
