Description
This is a piece i made for my sis for christmas. She is a genetic researcher so i thought the dna shape would be appropriate. It's made from 1/4 inch bar stock and some tinner steel wire. I wish the twist had worked out a little better but my forge isnt quite large enough to fit it all in.Related content

this one is particularly nice. if you could scale it to be a sock drying rack or make a set contaiing utesils for grillery that would be massive.

you're on to something here. i've been working in jewelry store for the past five + years and women are always asking where they can buy earring racks. hard to find, apparently, especially attractive hand forged ones. i told someone recently that i would pass the request along to the blacksmiths i know.

pretty cool piece, Isn't it great when you can make presents for the family. I see what you mean on the twist, theyre not quite even are they? but then again, humans are a flawed creature, so maybe the not quite perfect DNA has some philosophical value.
nice work
cheers
