I FELT COMPELLED TO MAKE THIS because with all the comic artists who are into tourneys, I've never seen anyone draw a comic about competing in them. (Of course, it could be that people do this all the time and I just haven't seen it.)So yeah. As pathetic as it might be, this tournament was pretty much MY ENTIRE ADOLESCENCE. I thought I should say something about it before I move on to other art. :^D
In case anyone wants to ACTUALLY TAKE MY ADVICE AND JOIN AN OCT, HERE IS A GREAT GROUP WITH A HUGE LIST OF THEM!!!
It'll help you a lot, and you'll meet a bunch of cool artists. I'll shut up about it now.

LOVE.YOUR.ART STYLE> i personally dont think that you before styles were all that bad(thot it was kinda cute actually) but awsome job on everything and improving your self aswell! your style somewhat reminded me of adv.time(finn/jake) but i can tell you have your own personality and i love your backgrounds as you progressed within the tornement....i think i might try an oct not sure yet. You should completely join one! :^D
Just make sure you have enough free time first, because OCTs can take forever. Don't join one if you're already very busy.

Oh don't say that! Your art from round 3 was one of my favorites, the transition from 2-3 is the greatest improvement!
sign, I wish I could do an improvement meme, but I didn't really improve in HM. My art was the same throughout, but it did make me realize that I had to discover my own style...

I had never heard of OCTs either before watching a certain person on deviantart, and I thought more people should know about them, so I made this thing. :^D

Well, that is wonderfully informative. Though I am never the sort to compete in tournaments. What sort of time limits do they give you and is it in person?

It's just over the internet, although it's a lot more fun if you get your friends to join with you. Theoretically, you COULD arrange one between people you know in person. That actually sounds like it would be really cool :^D
And from my experience, you normally get about three months per round. It probably changes a lot from tourney to tourney, though.
