I FELT COMPELLED TO MAKE THIS because with all the comic artists who are into tourneys, I've never seen anyone draw a comic about competing in them. (Of course, it could be that people do this all the time and I just haven't seen it.)So yeah. As pathetic as it might be, this tournament was pretty much MY ENTIRE ADOLESCENCE. I thought I should say something about it before I move on to other art. :^D
In case anyone wants to ACTUALLY TAKE MY ADVICE AND JOIN AN OCT, HERE IS A GREAT GROUP WITH A HUGE LIST OF THEM!!!
It'll help you a lot, and you'll meet a bunch of cool artists. I'll shut up about it now.

It's sort of like a fight club, but a lot dorkier and with comics. There's a lot of them on artsy sites like DA. It stands for original character tournament.
I think I pretty much explained it in the comic, but... it's pretty much just a really big art tournament? Normally the people who enter are teenagers who want to be comic artists, but I've seen older and more accomplished artists enter them too. It's basically meant for people who have their own characters, but no story to draw them in. It's also a great way to meet other artists.

But OCTs can sometimes take ALL OF YOUR FREE TIME, so you shouldn't enter one unless you really want to.
