Description
Submission for ~YuukiTree 's "Apple and Chair" contest. It won it.Taken with my mom's crappy digital camera because mine had a heinous light leak and destroyed all mine. The good ones, that is.
My brother arranged the chairs for this, good boy that he is.

Thank you! It was fun to shoot, though I don't think my mother enjoyed my taking her kitchen chairs down to the beach.
Thanks again for the fav.

Thanks! I enjoy it also... there's nothing like trying to move chairs around a rocky beach...

I can see why you won. Sorry, not much critique to give here, so this is going to be short. Just wanted to say congratulations, and that it's a great photo. I don't often leave short comments like this, but I felt I needed to.

Thank you so much! This one was fun to shoot, as I had my little brother helping me (we live far away from one another, so it was fun to have him around), credit goes to the boy for setting up the chairs.

So was the setup/composition of the chairs his idea completely?

Not completely, but he was certainely key to getting it just right. I'm working on getting him in to photography, trying to teach him how to use my ancient SLR.

Ahh, very cool. I'd consider getting my sister into it if she was a little older. Being only 12, I'm kind of afraid to turn her loose with a camera.

Yeah, my brother's fourteen, but he's a pretty bright kid. He's got one of those engineer minds that can figure anything out, so I figure it could be a good thing for him.

Ah, see, my sister might be good at it, and she might not be. I haven't the slightest clue. Perhaps I should ask her if she's interested.

You should find out when she's a bit older! My brother's coming out for a whole month, so I'll have plenty of time to screw around and figure out if the boy's got any interest in being behind the camera.

I'll definitely keep it in mind. Thanks for the idea, and good luck with your brother.
