Only killing defenseless puppies?
Bears, mt.lions and wolves do kill offsprings of their rivals. It's natural. If elk or bison finds immature enemy it crushes it without hesitation to protect its herd. Just like we put down dangerous man eater crocodiles, snakes, polar bears and tigers.
Mature cougar can crush horse skull in one bite. They are so solitary, strong and intelligent they don't even need a pack to hunt down elks or other big animals.
Nothing against the wolves but wolfaboos are spreading bullshit about other majestic animals like bears, eagles and mountain lions.

Just pointing this out- this meme is pretty much completely pointless. The wolf pup, after all, IS defenseless, whether it's been labeled that by a wolfaboo or not. C'mon, you expect a wolf pup to be able to defend itself against a mountain lion?
But that's how things run in the wild. An animal won't spare another's life, no matter how cute or small it is.

you missed the point actually. Wolfaboos constantly keep claiming wolves are the undisputed top dogs (no pun intended) of the animal kingdom. But when a wolf is killed by another animal, wolfaboos will bend over backwards to label the adult a 'defenseless pup' to maintain their view an adult wolf is invincible

I remember a story about a man down south that once killed Cougar with a Bowie Knife that attacked him when he was out jogging, Animal Rights activists wanted his head. They would have gotten his head if it was a wolf.

Yeah right, just like all the plentiful video footage of adult wolves getting killed by cougars.
Not saying wolves aren't great hunters ...[whatever in the hell the word "noble" has to do with that....] because they are. I'm just saying they are smaller, lighter, and have less muscle mass then the average cougar, so it's quite obvious a cougar could kill a wolf. And they do sometimes, because of the fact that they can come into contact with each other. It's common knowledge among zoologists.
