You're welcome! ^-^ Shoes can be the hardest part of a cosplay outfit, so it's always great to see an awesome pair. Really nice work. :3

Thanks so much! This is my first costume. Its really thanks to my mom because she helped coach me on how to sew and to make the vest. I wanted it accurate so it was a lot to take on as my first real project.

I can understand that! I'm not such a great seamstress, so my mom does it all (I do props/accessories/etc). This is going to look so great. I can't wait to see you in it! When will it be posted?

Well that's good you and your mom are like a team. Props and accessories seem really hard. I haven't attempted to make any. I wish I could have a riku soul eater sword but its so much to buy it online. What is the hardest prop/accessory you've ever done? Um, well the con is tomorrow so I'm hoping to get some pictures then. Then it will just be the courage to post on here ahaha!

Yeah! It works out pretty swell. To be honest, I'm not so great at it, I still have a loooot to learn!! I've only made a few things, but the hardest...probably either the Aqua Wayfinder or Komory Bat (which isn't done yet!). Ohh, you're going to have so much fun!!! As a tip, work out some poses before you go so you won't be caught off guard when people ask for pictures. Please post! I'm sure you're going to look amazing!!!

Don't worry, you'll get better at it with practice. Ah Awesome! Those totally look like kairi's charm coincidentally. Yeah I could see the bat being hard with so many colors too. I wish there were more kingdom hearts stuff available but I guess making stuff yourself is much more fulfilling. Thanks a lot! I've been thinking about poses but haven't gotten around to looking till now aha! Thanks for the well wishes.

Thank you I hope so! Things are becoming a little easier. Yeah! They do! I think they did it on purpose to show the connection. Ugh, yes. I had to draft all the patterns for its body too. Same here! Like play arts figures or something of TVA would be awesome. It is fulfilling to be able to show off your work at cons ;D No problem!!! :3

That's good to hear. :] That must have sucked much starting from nothing. I would like to see the bat when its done. The closest I ever tried making a doll type thing was a tiny sackboy doll from little big planet video game but never finished it. Thanks for the watch as well

^_^ Yeah, it was a huuuuuge challenge! I'm still stuck on it's dang ears lol I'll try to finish it up soon! Trying to decimate myself to productivity, because I spend too much time on here honestly- no wonder I have so little to post most times! Why didn't you? I like making plushies, but its kinda time consuming because of all the detail work that has to be put in. No problem! I look forward to seeing this cosplay and all of those that may come in the future!

what trouble are the ears giving you? I hope you can find a solution soon. Ah really? I don't spend as much time on here as I used to. Hmmm... I just became unmotivated to finish it because after making the body I realized how hard it would be to have to make little clothes for it at my skill lvl. I only knew how to hand sew and thought i would need a sewing machine for tiny clothes. Then I though about its face with Button eyes and somehow make a mouth. That would take a lot of effort to fit clothing from scratch and all that so i just left it blank. I've seen some people make some amazing my little pony stuffed animals online somewhere. It looked even better than the actual pony plushy brand itself. Thanks, that means a lot! :]

Thank you. Basically, they need to be curved a certain way and still stay in one piece. It's hard to explain, but that's the predicament. XD Well, that's actually a good thing. Too much time on here isn't healthy. Tbh, I miss the days when I wasn't obsessed with the Internet T.T Oh, I understand. If you want to try another go at it I'd be happy to help! I can only hand see as well, and it's actually (believe it or not) better to handsew all the clothes, body, etc unless the plush is large. It stays better that way. Oh yeah!! I've seen them too! Some people are so incredibly talented with that. :3 Np!

Ah, I see what your saying. I was thinking maybe some type of thick felt but I'm not sure entirely. I'm on the net a lot too but its just mostly video watching. Yeah its bad especially for the eyes. I've been thinking about getting a pair of gunnar brand glasses in the future to lower the strain on my eyes. Thanks for the offer. If I ever do I'll be sure to ask. That makes since for big plush dolls.

Yeah lol I'm not sure either! I considered using wire but I never have before- might be difficult. I'm constantly on here lol,!video watching isn't too bad :3 I've never heard of those! What are they? No prob!! :3

TarenPyronite In reply to TheDoorWithin [2014-09-06 23:49:24 +0000 UTC]
Wire might be a good material. That would make it easier to create fixed positions for the ears or wings. I wonder if fabric glue is enough to keep them in place though.
Gunnar glasses are basically for those of us who look at bright screens for long periods of time. Doing this causes our eyes to strain. Gunnar glasses reduces that strain.
Heres a Link to the gunnar glasses website if you want the whole story aha! You can find them cheaper like on say Ebay or other places.

Yeah! That's one of my biggest predicaments. I'm probably going to have to end up cutting slits into the sides and seeing them in. Not hard, but time consuming. T.T
Intersting! I'll take a look.

Did you also change the shoes or did you buy them like that?

Found some white shoes off of Ebay and had to paint the rubber parts black and yellow. It took several coatings to get the collars to look solid. It was fun but had to be carful. Had to find diff shoestrings as well.
