okay went for something totally unconventional with this one.this current round of 's art tournament is a fight between our OC's that we created from scratch in the last round.
my opponent now being and his character arya
well not much i can say about this idea, its pretty self-explanatory, a mock-up screenshot of a Fighting game.
tried out a blurred background to attempt to give it a bit of depth. (was a bit of a git to draw those buildings but i like the result, though cant see em much with the health bars lol)
tried to stay as true to navyblue's OC as i could. and each has a "special" gauge relating to them, Hitotoki having some form of chronomancy bar and Arya having the celestial energy of her summoned beastie.
had this done yesterday but keep looking at it either loving it or hating it.
not sure if i'll need to make another entry for this one, i might do if i have the time.
in a bit fo a funk atm regarding my style/tools
so doing a little experimenting with markers, but early days with that yet.

holy crap i love it. the concept is awesome. and the art is really cool. i think it's clever that you didn't just do a conventional battle, you got creative and did like a fighting game.

Obviously you either did your homework, or have played WAY too many fighting games to get all the little details just right.
My money's on the latter.
Also, I've been meaning to comment on Hitotoki for what seems like a decade, SHE'S AWESOME!
