Originally just a Corporal, he was promoted upon his miraculous return despite being declared KIA after nuking an JUIS naval fleet immediately to the rank of Captain, on the President's special orders to members of the Alpha Lions who had fought in Africa for ten long years against jihadist remnants. He was reinstated into the Singapore Armed Forces with all his previous decorations, including the first Star of Temasek initially awarded posthumously for his heroic act of sacrifice during the Second Battle of Singapore, together with additional decorations awarded for their actions in Africa along with skill badges earned while in the service of the African Union Armed Forces in their war against JUIS remnants.

After commissioning, Captain Ayzen was assigned to the 9th Division's Basic Military Training Center (BMTC) on Pulau Tekong to take charge of a training company as part of his tour to learn the ropes of command and pass down his valuable combat experience to subordinate officers, NCOs and a new generation of young recruits. It was there he was reunited with his childhood friend, Michelle, who had also become a Captain of a neighbouring company.

The commissioning photo is one of the few important pieces of memorabilia Ayzen keeps in his office, as a reminder of the simpler and more triumphant times as a mere soldier.
