Description
Ah. The fossil map.ANY NAMES FOR THIS REGION OR TYPES FOR THE GYMS WOULD BE APPRECIATED!!!
Anyway...Roseton is where you start, Glassmeadow is not really a forest, but an area like the pattern brush on firered and leaf green. It takes the roll of the starting forest that most regions have. Mallow view is the classic second town, where you find your first pokemon center and pokemart. Fallapple is the third town and first gym. I don't know what it'll be yet, but like allmost all of the first gyms, it lets you use cut. You cannot get to Bay Coast untill you have surf, because of a lot of ledges in the way but it has a bunch of cool stuff when you do, including a contest hall and one of those cool wireless game thingys. Summerlyn is the fourth town you can access and the first town with a contest hall and the second gym. Again, no type, but it lets you use Rock Smash. Also, after beating the elite four, you can find Comegolem in a place that the rampant acheaologists around the region uncover and call "The Crater" It won't show up on the route like Mt. Ember does in Ruby and Saphire, but it'll be there. Icemaple is not accesable untill you beat the second gym and clear the numerous trainers blocking the path to Mt. Snowcrystal, where you can run into alot of fayoth, bonine, flurnk, and snova. After beating the elite four, an opening in the middle of nowhere opens and you can find Ghobegolem. The gym in Icemaple is of course, Ice. this is your third badge and it lets you use Flash. Redcrest is a small town. Not much to do here, but you can get the HM Flash by talking to some random Giddy like dude and answering his questions right.(I don't really want it to be an HM, but you have to have some way to keep people from using it early in the game...) Southall is the fourth badge and third contest hall. The Gym will probably be water..but I might do that for the Highbank gym, so any ideas for either would be apreciated. Whatever the Southall gym is, it lets you use Surf. The highbank will let you use Strength and therefore manage to budge inside the Dracfort Isle, but you need to be able to use dive or waterfall to get in further.
Once you can use strength, you can access Fogcliff, that has no gym but you can find a game corner (as in coins) here. it has foggy weather and mist will automaticaly be cast when you enter battle around here.
Blackden has a Flying Type gym and not much else but it also has the supermart. Beat the gym leader and get to use fly. Also after beatin the Elite four you can find Magmagolem after moving up a path that the archeaologists have made up a massive mountain and then inspecting the poor railing, and falling down into a place in the middle of all the magma with one path leadiing down to where a bunch of ledges come out on the stair path and a small circular area where magmagolem is sleeping.
Dragonoak is a small village that booms when you beat the elite four because a bunch of dragon type pokemon have inhabited the nearby areas and trainers crowd there. You can access a battle frontier like area where you can even link up and have real people occasionaly pop into your challanges. (with the wi-fi thing...Yes, I realize I'm treating this like it's going to be a real game.) But untill then it only rarely get Dracorus.
Crystal Hedge has a gym and it lets you use Dive. Whatever evil thing you have to face, you find out here.
Silvergate is the very last gym and it lets you use waterfall. However, of course, the gym leader is currently on vacation. Don't wait, cuz he/she'll only come back when you stop the evil people from turning Amathian or Topiren evil. You do this at Esteriron, where around there you run into abunch of steel pokemon. At 15, Vertlake City, it's like the one with the poison guy in Kanto or Goldenrod City in Johto: it's the gate into a pokemon catching contest. Of course, you have to cross Vertlake itself to get to the contest, but if you swim deep enough in to the lake, you run across a pristine, untouched forest where you can run into Forizard and Lindrush, and VERY RARELY, Ryuhaste and Screriu. Elsewise it's mostly bugs. but in the contest you can almost more rarely than runing into the Ryuhaste and Screriu run into the two basic dragons. But it's easier if you find the "Dragon Forest Island"
Esteriron has alot of houses, a reaserch center like the one in Roseton where the fossil regenerator was stolen, had a powersurge and blasted the entire region with regenerating power, and broght it back to life. All you can run into around here is the occasional Spherion and then it's all geodude and sandshrew because the generator hardly touched this spot. In a large hole the evil people are trying to regenerate the patron and then convert it to their cause, but you manage to defeat (YES. You cannot capture it right now. Sorry, bub. but you have to beat it.) And then it comes back to it's senses and leaves. The evil people are pissed but they leave, and you can go to Silvergate and find the Gym Leader there.
if you want to find the legendarys later, you'll have to use Waterfall or Dive in the Dracfort Isle (Dive for Amathian, Waterfall for Topiren, cuz he doesn't swim) and wake them up by pokeing them, tickling them, or using a pokemon move on them. You enter a battle like screen where it gives you options, and it shows you what you do (Like your characters fingers up and wiggle if you pick tickle). If you tickle, it jumps up and is difficult to catch, but it won't attack as much cuz you'll get a (example
And that's pretty much it. I don't have elite four members yet.

...Hmm...Safari Zone?
That'll take some time to place...
And as to how I did it...Spray Paint option on Paint.
Just the little thing you get on you comp, nothing special.
Although I had to look at the Kanto map to get the city Icons and the colors and the background.
And that apparantly no pixle can be on its own at the edge.
It has to be doubles.
....
Mostly I did it with lots of patience.

Okay...Take the spray paint, and (you don't want any specific color, black works fine, you need to change it later anyway) HOLD AND DRAG EVERYWHERE!! Dont make it too thick though.
Once you have a decent amount of splatters, pick A DIFFERENT COLOR!! and use the paint bucket to fill in an area that you'd like to be water. If you end up with a small, more lakeish area, then either click somewhere else more open or thin it out using a right click drag and/or the undo button. A GOOD MAP has areas of white and the spray color visibly a land mass.
Once you have the area you'd like for your ocean, get back to the first color you used with the spray. THIS IS THE THING THAT SHOWS YOU HOW FAR OUT YOUR CONTINETS GO!! You find an area of the color and rightclick leftclick, rightclick, left click....untill it stops spreading. Do this to all the areas that you want to keep for the final map.
Okay, here you get to pick your continent color. (its probably green)
Fill in all those areas you saved with YOUR NEW COLOR!!!! Do NOT use the color of your water, or either of your spray colors!
Once your done with that, take your two spray colors and set them as background and foreground (Background color is set by clicking the palet with a right click, FYI. )and then do the same thing that you didwith the continets, only in the ocean. It'll pick up the ones you don'twant to keep.
By thistime you have deffinitive continents, and allyou need is alot of patience to do the elevation and cities and what not.
And if you want it to look pokemonic, use the background I did, and make sure that the pixels are allways IN PAIRS. No pixels on the edge without another.
Like I said, it was mostly patience.

...you should seriously do a tutorial! That'd be good... I think a lot of people would like it. ^_^ That just seems rather confusing without the visual aid... It seems to me, without that, my best bet is to try to emulate yours and use the old trail and error method! XD Srry, it's just a rather complicated description.

It is confusing. I just got bored and figured out alot of little details that no-one bothers to look for.
But...A tutorial would be fun.
It is now considered a request!

Honestly, I wish they'd have brought back the johto with the kanto.
It was the first of their games I got and the ones I learned to play on.
(I developed amazing strategies, which I would reign down on the diamond and pearl players if I had one.)

Yeah, the first guy in the Hoenn trains dark types and Karen in the Johto trained dark types...The dark type gym is a really good idea.
