very nice! The suit's texture reminds me a bit of the lead character from the old Shiny produced videogame 'MDK'.

Wonderful - love the metallic/chitin-like armour textures and those lights. Heck, even the background/environment is cool. Definitely not the Glow Worm my toddlers held at bedtime.

I wonder what would you have accomplished if you had more than 5 hours. This is mind blowing! You would only find more detail in a photo.

Lots of detail but not too much. It's still readable, which is great. Gotta love all that tubing.
Keep it up!

Wow, really beautiful painting here... I notice you said that you used both PS and Painter. I'm new to digital painting, and just wanted to ask what features you use them both for (hence using two applications for their combined strengths)
I thought that generally artists would just use one or the other, though obviously you've found aspects about them that you can best take advantage of in combination of the two. (sorry if this makes NO sense if that is the case, don't worry about trying to answer the question @~@
Fantastic work though, bro, definitely watching your account now

Thank you,
yes I find both ps and painter to be very necessary and benifitial for my art. I like the painterly quality of painter that allows me to quickly block out and get a sense of atmosphere and energy for th piece. Then I use ps for the solidity of the image and the ability to use layers and detail stuff. I usually alternate between the two, but i mainly finish using ps for the use of color grading and filters.
In painter I mainly use the water colour brushs, the heavy blenders and the pastel/chalk brushs.
In Ps i use the brush tool heavily and the dodge & burn tool, the blur filters, liquify and of course layers.
Hope that's answerd your question..
