Description This is officially my first “Kanata Kara” (From Far Away) piece of fanart.
While I know I already made this comic ([link] ), I consider that a doodle as opposed to this finished piece.

I wanted to try a different style with this one. I recently picked up the “Art of” book to the same series and man, does this author KNOW her stuff! Her anatomy… her layouts… good god, her use of traditional mediums to do super-imposed images and they are FLAWLESS!!

Anyhow, I was so inspired I just had to try my hand at it as well.
So here he is. Izark contemplating his tragic prophesized future of becoming the sky demon.

Oh Izark, why ist thou so sexy?
Why aren’t there more men like you in REAL life?!?!

*sigh*.
Just sit quietly and stare at his dreaminess.

Well, I think by the way you knew he was the sky demon you have already read this one, but if you haven't got past vol 7 (like I have) or wherever you stopped reading, I have a site online that has scanned translations of all the volumes.
Well, it's not tragic per se, but since the prophecy makes it an EVIL destructive thing.. well, youknow he has a conscience... and killin' Noriko in the process kinda puts a damper on future possibilities of love making...

This one is actually considered a shojo surprisingly. This lady's anatomy is so spot on I can just HATE her! XD
Deffinatly worth the read. I'm living in suspence until the next chapter unfolds! XD

Okay, back. OMG wow!!!! I love the way you did the shadows in this picture! I love the way you drew Izark. Why *is* he so sexy? I think it's the hair. Or the body. (::Enjoyed the long shirtlessness of the last volume: I also think it's the headband. ::yikes the headband:: I dunno. but I agree with your assessment about his desire to be good... And I love how it's really Noriko who brings it out in him! Like in that one scene with Banadam where he's carrying her out from the crumbling palace, and like...smiling gently down at her, and then he looks up and sees Banadam looking at them, and his face instantly hardens...you *know* he lets her see a side of him that *no one else* sees...Like...maybe another tall, thin, long haired demon-boy we know of?

By the way, WHERE DID YOU GET THE ART BOOK!!!??? My envy is intense.

First off, yes, Izark is the sex... and the entire mane-tossing-in-the-wind scene was just SEXY! Oh, does that author have a grasp on anatomy something FIERCE! XD

The art book was bought at a store by my house. Pretty good price too as most art books are around $70-$75 this one was only $45!!!!

Phht, I always tell everyone I recommend the series to: It's like Sessh and Rin, except Sessh has black hair and Rin's older! XD

Well, sure! It's also why I like Aoshi/Misao (as I've mentioned before a billion and three times. ) That kind of pairing just makes me all gooshy!! And I just got a book called "Rurouni Kenshin: Profiles", and I love how they describe the relationship in there! "Aoshi has taken loving care of Misao since she was a child. He is like a parent, an older brother, and a lover to her all at the same time." Emphasis on the lover! I think that's the best way to describe it. It also sort of goes through all those things as she or Rin grows...like when they're small, they look up to him as a father-figure or an older brother, or I always think of it as that teacher you had a big crush on! but then as they get older, it's LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!
