Ok I just finished watching season one and throughout all of it whenever gold is in his shop or making snarky remarks to Regina I'm like "yes! This is why your my number 1 character closely followed by Jefferson."
i didnt get get the joke until just now, I thought like trade money for actual gold not mr gold and when I realised I'm like... Dammit, I also didn't know who he was until the third or fourth episode.

I was a Robert Carlyle fan before OUAT, but I can see why you would be interested to look up his other films. The man is a genius with his portrayals and acting. I've never seen his equal in diversity.
