Description
This is a really cool piece I got the opportunity to do for ΒSomewhat of a prophetic dream I believe, so the funky borders between the fire and the normal trees/night sky is intentional! Was a good sort of challenging and I really enjoy the end result. c:

Okay now i absolutely get to fawn over this, first off ILL JUST FAWN OVER YOUR LIGHTING LIKE I USUALLY DO. One of the coolest things here is that he is both in and out of the dream, both the warm volcanic lighting and cold night sky lighting look so wonderful together, and you have such an awesome way of just making it look so natural and fitting! The burning trees in the background just.. they really look perfect and your painterly style, everything has been rendered so nicely! The way that you tackled the "in and out" of the flashback/dream is also just SUPER pleasing to look at, the starry sky is so bold against the smoked sky of the volcanic dream, and they create this really interesting contrast! The small details- where the stars are being stretched between the two are just so lovely too ;___; Not to mention the love for his overall expression and posing- truly expressing his very curious personality! Thank you once again for tackling this idea, its always such a pleasure to work with you!!
I have to also show because I know you enjoy to see your creations get love! I asked Tarragon to illustrate a possible memory/"flashback" of this hoshi from before his time, when the volcano was active; I thought his description written by you was super lovely and really wanted to have something to illustrate the curious complexities of this fellow

I think you can always just assume I'm crying over one of your comments
I think it was very important that he fit in both scenes somehow, for cohesion of course lol. I also really like night skies, so sue me! At first it was gonna be during the day when I did the color sketch but night was SO much better! Never underestimate special brushes with the smudge tool my guys ;^)
Thanks for always giving me cool and original ideas to work with!!!Β
