Well it was meant to be just a sketch, but then Max disappeared seconds before I could show him the sketch.So the next logical step was to have a shower and go to bed.
...I did not take the next logical step. But I did do a fast-colour!
Otherwise I would be Zombie Tarri~
Anyhoo, it is of his little mermaid character, Emily, which I promised myself (mostly myself) I would draw at least in some degree.

There is no sexual context in this piece whatsoever, and you had better make sure you understand the definitions of terms before you throw them about, because otherwise you may end up offending someone by implying they are something they are not.

And he has already asked me this, and I have already explained to him that I can't accept requests right now because I don't have time due to the fact I am a full-time student in full-time study. I have a whole bunch of papers, including a research paper (which I actually told him about).
He tried to reason that I could find time, and I have explained that as a uni student, I just can't, hence why requests and art trades are closed.
If you are asking on his behalf, it means that his attempts to ask me directly have failed due to the above reasons at this point in time.
I do not at all appreciate that he is using you to try to twist my arm into doing free art for him when I already said that I don't have the time to open up requests.

I've re-read what you said (because last night I was very tired from not only assignment work, and classes, but also the fact my papers have been shuffled around again, causing a lot of problems on my end), and... for one, at the time I hardly had time. Yours was also a request, this one isn't a request, it's fan art.
It would be like you comparing your request to my MLP art...
The owner of this character did not ask me for a request, I did it of my own accord.
I could have easily turned down your free request, and at the time, someone else also requested art. I turned down their request and chose to do yours, and I could have refused both.
So please don't ever do this again, because I've already experienced guilt trips, and I don't need that on top of everything else that has been happening.
And for the record, I was considering revisiting your sketch and giving it colour. Now I'm not so sure I want to anymore.

Okay. Now that has absolutely noting to do with it, and in fact the artist I did the fan art for (given your gallery) is not as talented as you are, and you have far more watchers than he does.
Second of all, I don't even care about if someone is talented enough or popular enough. I'm not exactly a popular artist here on Deviantart, y'know. More down to being somewhat unknown, I would have to put it down to.
Popular-looking? If you are talking about in terms of talent in your art, my art used to suck. I got better over a number of years, and I encourage artists who "aren't that talented" to keep it up, and I also like to give hints and tips I used when the subject comes up.
Someone like me... you realise there are artists that are significantly more popular and talented than me, right? I'm just somewhere in the middle in terms of talent, and I'm, again, an unknown. Some artists have over a million watchers, some have thousands. I don't even have a thousand, so I don't kid myself. I just do what I do and don't worry about that sort of thing, but I then appreciate the compliments.
But that does not mean I see myself as some kind of great artist who is better than the rest. Because I know my art has had to improve a lot in the first place, which means if I can do it, other artists can as well.
Just keep that in mind, okay? Keep in mind that as long as you keep going, you can become more talented. It's what I tell everyone who doesn't seem to believe in their own talents.

Everyone has something that hinders them.
I have a collection of things that hinder my own art. They might not be the same, but you will find that not many artists are the same or have the same problems, but these things aren't even comparable.
The only thing you can really say it's hard. Everyone has their own "hard", but it's your resolve that pushes you forward.
Sure, you might hit roadblocks, but everyone does. It's what you do at those roadblocks that define you as an artist... do you continue to push, knowing that it's a real struggle and nothing is coming out right?
Or do you do something else and sleep on it?
Or do you just give up?
I tend to sleep on it... however one piece I put up recently I continued to draw and draw and draw, with all the frustration of a block, until I actually broke out of it by force, so to speak.
The key phrase here is not to give up, ever.

I got hassled and bullied literally every day in school because "there was something wrong with me".
Please don't try to lecture me about stuff like that, I had my hell at school as well. No one ever took what I said seriously, or even considered how I felt about things or what they did to me.
To them, I was a great big joke.

Were you almost hospitalized by bullying every month because you were albino and once had to have a crude wooden stake surgically removed from your chest? Are you stuck with scar tissue on both arms and the chest? Try escaping form the almost-fatal bullying when you are born with small lungs and lacking a good ability to run cause of your legs so beaten it hurts to make too much movement when running. And what's worse, trying to fend off the urge of arson and murder on those who scarred you for life in many ways. You think you had hell? Your hell is a goddamn cakewalk compared to death threats and trying to stay alive and out of the sun, you would be dead if you were not so filled with hate to keep you going even in today where hate and holding a grudge is power to stop me from killing myself with my collection of weapons. >.>

This one can't. There are no elements to this image that can be interpreted in any kind of perverted sense, mostly for the fact she has a tail (because, y'know, she is a mermaid), and she also has no breasts either, making this 100% fine.
If they did take this one down, then there is something seriously wrong with them.
