Eastham, MA, 2006, Oil Pastel, 18" x 24"This is from a photo I took over the summer of 2005. I remember I had to convince my whole famil to stop the car so I could hop out on this bridge to take a series of photos, on the way to dinner, and the mosquitos were vicious, but it was worth it. Despite all their laughing I managed one of the best pastels I've ever done. Also, I mostly like to make oil pastels from life, but when it's winter in Boston, I don't have much of a choice.

this is very lovely. amazing detail with grass reflections. . . i like the way you bring out the vibrancy of the pastels with the darker elements of the land and water.

It's beautiful overall, I love the colors of the sky. I think it's just me, but the land's curvature seems a bit strange.....but I'm weird that way.....

I like the texture of the grass and the reflection of the grass and everything else being smooth. more great colors too!
