I've had this image in my head for a long time, it really needed to be drawn out so I could move on to other things.Tai, this young cat boy, has never been 'free.' He has been passed from one person's possession to another, never being his own. He doesnt know freedom, only the chains of belonging as a 'pet' or a 'toy.'
It is only until far later in his life that he finds himself freed at the hands of another. But even then, having only known as being something that belonged to another, he yearns for his rescuer to claim him as well.
I love this guy so much. He's actually the very first character I created to BE anthro.
