It has to be the best you've done so far, without question. You have a talent for flowers - odd, but a very useful skill to have.
So....are you going to tell us how this was done? I obviously have a lot to learn from you - the only photo of this type I've ever taken was of Amaroq when he was a pup, and it was a pure fluke. I'd love to be able to do it again.

What can I say... they talk to me... Umm, I'm going slightly mad...
How did I do it... hmm, I picked up the camera... fiddled with the knobs... and pressed that big button on the right hand side...
Seriously all I really had to do was slight adjustments to the brightness and contrast, this was done via two adjustment layers in PS.

What about lighting? I assume it was taken indoors?
What I think is really clever is the way you've got nothing but the flower and the black backround - that's just TOO fantastic.
Lately my photos have been a bit pish, IMO, but it's nice of you to say. I really must get out and put some effort into taking some decent ones!

cheeky? moi? No! surely not!
it was taken outside but sort of in the shade, and in the evening. There was a tree filtering most of the sunlight, you can see where it really hit the flower (where its a tad too bright)
The background was dark due the camera settings and the zoom lens, I just adjusted it slightly to fade out the remaining colour. If you look at the top of the picture you can see what looks like red shadows, its actually the flower behind this one
Your pictures are far from 'pish' but yeah, i think we need to put time aside for something really special. Now i'm across this side of the water I need to get up early and get to yours for the sunrise... let me know when your free and we can arrange it.
