Years ago (like 40) I went on a blind date with the son of the man who was responsible for the floodlights on the falls. He took me up to the control room and we changed all of the light patterns. I never saw him again but I'll never forget how much fun it was moving those lights around.

Yes it was really just a small town back then. I've been several times over the years and it certainly has changed a lot. My husband and I spent our 25th Anniversary a few years ago in one of those big hotels overlooking the falls with floor to ceiling windows. It was a very impressive view. The one thing that never changes is the falls themselves and they never fail to amaze.
