Well, I know this is quite after the fact, but the girl cosplaying the templar is fine. She was with my group of friends (I was the Leonardo, Caitlyn was the templar but unfortunately she doesn't have a dA, was the Altair who was fooling around and accidentally cut Caitlyn in the face, Koa was our Ezio, and Dandroski was our Desmond although neither of them have dA's either) and although she was stunned for a bit from the blow, she is forever proud of being so "in character" haha.
The cut healed up into a small scar on her cheek, but other than that there was no lasting damage. Just thought I should put your mind at ease.

I'm glad to hear she's ok. She took a decent blow to the head. I was worried. Head injuries are nothing to take lightly.

Yeah, most of us were worried about her (making her spend a good chunk of the afternoon with ice packs and sitting down, haha) but it turns out that it just clipped the side of her face. She's a trooper!
But yeah, I'm sure everyone was relieved that it wasn't a serious head injury.

I thought the costume looked fantastic! But if it doesn't breathe, especially as hot as it gets here in Los Angeles, then it probable needs remaking. It can get REALLY hot here.

And thanks, I'm glad to hear that the costume looked okay. That was the first time I'd had to pretty much make the entire thing from scratch, so it was definitely a learning experience. Yeah, breathable fabrics are something I'm keeping an eye out for hahaha. I used to live more inland than I do now (now I'm like... a mile and a half from the beach) where it'd easily 105* out in the spring afternoon heat so I have an idea of how bad the heat can be. XD Only problem is finding breathable fabric in that colour. Bah, I'll find it, and if nothing else I can dye it!
