When I begin a composition it can start one of 2 ways, if when generating fractals to use with Incendia, I see one that has a form that stands out in particular and that might remind me of something, say a bird a fish etc. or
The other way is I assemble the days fractals on a large canvas in Photoshop I call it an idea board , then I manipulate, move etc until I find something I like and build from that.
This was an idea board that I loaded with Quaternions made with Incendia, these fractals usually include at least 2 baseshapes and several transforms.
For this piece I used 11 different Quaternions and 1 piece is from MB3D called "the Sarcophagus" that I just happen to have handy! once you have your Fractals it is somewhat like a jigsaw puzzle with no distinct pattern, that is up to you to find! good luck and have a great day.
