Q: what is an awakening stone...and why is it causing transformations? I mean, the other stones are self explanitory....
fire stone->fire Transformation
water stone->water transformation
leaf stone-> Grass trans
thunder stone-> electric trans
moon stone-> Moon-based trans
sun stone-> Fire or Grass / Heat based

-Day evo
-Night evo

The Awakening Stone is actually an official pokemon evolutionary stone, except snce I made this it has been renamed to Dawn Stone.
There has only been 2 official cases where a Dawn Stone must be used to obtain a pokemon. You use it on Kirlia (if it is a male) to obtain Gallaid, or you can use it on Snorunt (if it is female) to obtain Frosslass.
The information about it on all games since Diamond and Pearl says that it is 'A peculiar stone that makes certain species of Pokemon evolve. It sparkles like eyes.'
As of right now it is a stone that influences Alternate Evolutions of pokemon depending on it's gender. And that's why I used it here. Weepinbel (if female) + Awakening/Dawn stone = Harlebel. Bunneary (if male) + Awakening/Dawn stone = Rumbelop
